10 mistakes when writing a resume

- There is no last name of the applicant in the name of the file, the position for which he claims. Instead, applicants do the most stupid thing: they call the file "resume". And HR has to spend time renaming or pressing the DEL key.

- Do not indicate the position for which they apply. You can meet such pearls: “Find a job where I can apply my knowledge and skills”, “Realize my potential”, “Get a job with decent wages and realize myself.” And the personnel officers think: “What does this person need from us? Maybe it’s better to delete this resume in the basket and not force your brain to solve puzzles? ”

- Errors or typos. This indicates either carelessness or the poor quality of education. And also about the future attitude to work.

- The font. Size too small, or too creative font. A summary should be as easy to read as a Wikipedia page.

- A heterogeneous document. Fonts, indents, line spacing vary. There is no single document structure. They write a solid sheet of text. The document skips to the next page in the middle of an important paragraph. On the second page, a hanging tail forms in a few assumptions. Such a document is very difficult to perceive.

- Indicate unnecessary details. The third time I’m married, I bring up my son. I like to solve scanwords. According to the horoscope Scorpio. I collect old coins. Other things being equal, the HR manager will prefer a more concise resume.

- A huge number of template phrases. Analytical mindset, attentive to little things, sociable, I work well in a team, hardworking, organized, punctual. Anyone can write this to himself. Better just skip this section, do not write water. Do not overload your resume with garbage. According to statistics, 75% of people believe that they are in the 5% of the most intelligent people.

- Inaccurate chronology. The intersection of the dates of work, not indicating the month, long passes. This raises suspicions of either untruthfulness or sloppiness. For example, 2010-2011. may indicate that you have worked for either 1 month or almost 2 years.

- Too long resume. A person with little experience can easily fit all the necessary information on one page in large print. Some make a 4-page summary, although of this all the useful information is a maximum of half a page.

- Big ambitions. Some write the expected salary level in their resumes, although they have not yet clearly explained why they should pay so much.
